Feed My Starving Children
SourceOne Events Team Helps Pack More Than 27,000 Meals for Feed My Starving Children
At SourceOne Events, we spend a lot of time helping bring people together through events. Recently, some of our Chicago-area team members had the opportunity to come together for a different purpose: helping children in need.
Several members of the SourceOne team volunteered with Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), a nonprofit organization that provides nutritious meals to children around the world. During the volunteer session, our team worked alongside other volunteers to pack meals that will be shipped to communities facing food insecurity.
By the end of the session, volunteers had packed 27,216 meals. According to FMSC, that’s enough to provide 741 children with a daily meal for an entire year.
The work was simple but meaningful. Volunteers measured ingredients, filled meal bags, sealed packages, and prepared boxes for shipment. What may seem like a few hours of volunteer work can have a lasting impact on families who rely on these meals.
Events are all about people, and this volunteer opportunity was a great reminder of the difference people can make when they work together toward a common goal. We are proud of our team members for taking the time to support such an important cause and grateful to Feed My Starving Children for the opportunity to help.
