These were the words used by SourceOne Events Vice President of Sales and “Million Dollar Woman,” Ruthi Eckert while describing what women in the events industry need to have in order to break into a business previously dominated by men. Unbeknownst to her, Ruthi was also providing the very words that describe her tenacious and strong-willed personality.
As part of a new Women in the Industry series, we interviewed Ruthi on the challenges women both currently and previously faced in the events industry, how she broke the stigma of women workers, what it took to get to where she is today, and what her hopes are for the future.
