American Public Works Association Expo

The annual American Public Works Association Expo was primarily an educational opportunity for both new and current members, with a slice of entertainment mixed in. With over fifteen hundred members included in the Chicago Metro Chapter, the goal of the organization is to help support and bring awareness to the cause of public works and service, and how it plays a role in every-day life.

The expo in itself served as a forum for the discussion of ideas and sharing of knowledge and information, calling attention to the importance of keeping communities safe and livable for all. Throughout the day the event held also various activities for attendees, including a snow-plowing contest and a 5K race. We can’t wait to see what kind of impact this event has made not only for the AWPA, but for the Chicago are as a whole.
